      • Re-imagine your home

A creative book project by Janet Nicol

        Expected publication 2025

        An Embodied Home

      • “Wherever you receive love, that's your home.”

        Tibetan Proverb

This book approaches home from a fresh perspective. We will explore interior design through the lens of an ancient tantric system charted some 3000 years ago by the yogis. In Sanskrit, the Koshas (translated as sheaths or casting), offer us a map to understand the subtle, energetic and interconnected layers of who we are. Like Russian babushka dolls, Koshas move from a larger outer layer (physical body) to an inner layer (bliss and joy). We will explore how to embody these five layers of ourselves in one of our most sacred places, home.

        ,

An Embodied Home will map each Kosha to elements of home design offering extensive suggestions of ways to incorporate progressive values around stewardship of our planet, social justice, ethics, consumerism, and care for the earth's minds, bodies, and inhabitants.
